Hello, it’s nice to meet you! Let me introduce myself,
I am Rachel Keeth; I’ve had a love for food since I was eight-years-old. I remember waking up early in the morning when I was nine to bake before my parents would wake up to surprise them. When I started out I had some rather interesting ideas of recipes I could create, some of which included fennel (one of the few spices that came to mind at the time) in a Milky Way cake. Yikes! Thankfully I soon learned the science and art of baking and pairing flavors together thanks to much Food Network and my parents allowing me to have an open kitchen to experiment in.
Ever since then I’ve had a love for cooking, but especially for experimenting on original recipes and sharing them with others. Recipes such as tiramisu gelato, salted caramel banoffee pie, butternut squash stuffed bell peppers, and salty-sweet chocolate chip marshmallow bars. For me it’s not just creating these recipes that’s special, but sharing them with others. I really believe food can be medicine for the soul. Sharing something special with a loved one can brighten their day and create precious memories and traditions. It can also be a kind gift, such as learning how to make someone’s favorite foods available when they are on a restrictive diet can mean everything to them and make holidays and special occasions easier.
Along with having a love for food and cooking I’m also an artist, geek, anime nerd, animal lover, polyglot, disabled spoonie, and most importantly a Christian.
I would love to meet you, feel free to introduce yourself in the comments section!
